Who doesn’t like ice cream! I was introduced to homemade ice cream by Chef Christine at the Kitchen Studio in Frederick, MD. I took a class there one day that involved us shopping the local farmers market for fresh and seasonal ingredients and then then headed back to the studio and made all kind of goodies including peach and blueberry crepes with thyme ice cream. This is when I was introduced to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and her book – Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams at Home. So when we ran out of the Strawberry Buttermilk ice cream this past weekend, I decided to make one of my favorites – Wild Blueberry Lavender. In the absence of wild berries I had to settle for store bought.

Even though your writing is great, in the case of this particular post and my particular tastes, you could have just posted the photos. To re-iterate, in case my comment isn’t clear, your writing, while clear and entertaining took my eyes away from those yummy looking photos. That ice cream looks so darn good it could jump off the page.
